 Is GDS Really a good Job:

of course gds is really a great job. In postal department they are two types of categories they call one as gds and the other is department. gds is a permanent job it is a government job. But there is a small link in this gds employees are called as part time employees they are the out source of the department, gds is not a govt job but a permanent job which is we work for the government.

Gds is a two categories:

1.Bpm(branch post master)

2.Abpm(assistant branch post master

1.Bpm:

Bpm is having the duties of money payments and opening new accounts(schemes) like sukanya samrudhi yojana, mssc, RD(reccurring deposit), and bpm has to write the generals which difficult to main. you has to write the generals daily. You can't skip them.

2.Abpm:

Abpm is having the duties of posts which is completely a field work it is very difficult to the person who is appointed as the abpm in the postal department. very difficult in the beginning of work because you don't know the area(beat), after after some days you can do your work easily because you know the area well and names of the persons.

What to see before joining as a Gds Bpm Or Abpm:

Bpm has to observe the work load on that place. visit the place that you are allotted before submission of the certificates in the head offices either you are a bpm or abpm. First thing you has to do is visit the place and ask the employees who worked before in that places.

Gds is a branch office which is attached under the sub offices. 

A sub office is having the branch offices either 5 or 7 based on the place.

Some times BPM is needs to visit the houses for opening the accounts, it is the pressure for the gds abpm and bpm. They has to complete the targets that are given by their superiors now a days they are many people joining for the gds and many are quitting from the job due to the pressure, if there is no pressure for doing new accounts for target then the job is good for you but it's not possible. now-a-days 

there is a lot of targets.
